Most kitchen companies can build cabinetry. What makes the biggest difference is the experience you have along the way.
At Proform, we work with our hands, our minds and our hearts.
Our hands craft cabinetry with precision and care. Our minds create practical designs that work beautifully every day. And our hearts remind us that we’re creating the space where families gather, conversations happen and memories are made.
After more than 20 years, we’ve learned that people remember more than the finished kitchen. They remember how they were treated, how well they were listened to and how confident they felt throughout the journey.

Choosing local isn’t just about where your kitchen is built, it’s about knowing who’s building it, supporting Tasmanian businesses and having a team that stands behind its workmanship.

Trust isn’t something you can advertise. It’s something you earn.
For more than two decades, Tasmanian families, builders and renovators have trusted Proform to create kitchens and joinery that become part of everyday life. Our values haven’t changed. We still believe in listening before designing, building with care, standing behind our workmanship and treating every home with the same respect we’d expect for our own.
Because in the end, we’re not remembered for the kitchens we build. We’re remembered for the trust we leave behind.

Materials & Finishes

There’s no single “best” cabinetry material, only the material that’s best suited to your home, your lifestyle and the way you’ll use your space.
At Proform Kitchens & Joinery Solutions, we carefully select materials that combine durability, performance and timeless style. We work with trusted Australian suppliers, including Polytec for decorative surfaces and Renshaw Stone for premium stone benchtops, because we’ve found they consistently deliver the quality and reliability our clients expect.
Rather than overwhelming you with technical information, we’ll explain your options, answer your questions and help you choose materials that suit your home, your budget and the way you live.
The best material isn’t always the most expensive, it’s the one that’s right for your project.

Choosing cabinetry is about much more than colour, it’s about selecting a finish that will continue to look and perform beautifully for years to come.
We’ve chosen to work with Polytec because they offer an extensive range of colours, woodgrains and finishes, along with the consistency, durability and design flexibility we’re looking for in every project. Their products allow us to create kitchens that are both beautiful and built to handle everyday living.
There are many quality decorative surface manufacturers in Australia. We’ve simply found that Polytec consistently delivers the standard of finish and reliability we want for every Proform kitchen.

With so many colours, textures and finishes available, knowing where to start can feel overwhelming, but that’s where we can help.
During the design process, we’ll consider your home’s style, natural light, flooring, benchtops and adjoining living spaces to create a palette that feels balanced and timeless. Just as importantly, we’ll recommend finishes that suit the way you use your kitchen every day.
Whether you love warm timber tones, ultra-matt cabinetry or a clean contemporary look, we’ll help you choose a combination you’ll still enjoy for years to come.
The best colours and finishes aren’t the ones trending today – they’re the ones that feel like home every time you walk through the door.

For many homeowners, they are.
Stone benchtops are valued for their durability, timeless appearance and low-maintenance qualities, making them an excellent choice for kitchens designed to stand the test of time.
At Proform, we work with the skilled team at Renshaw Stone, who fabricate and install premium YDL Stone surfaces with the same attention to detail we expect from our own cabinetry.
That said, we don’t recommend stone simply because it’s popular. We’ll help you compare the available options and recommend the benchtop that’s genuinely right for your lifestyle, design preferences and budget.

The best benchtop is the one that suits the way your family lives.
For many households, modern laminate benchtops offer outstanding durability, easy maintenance and excellent value. Others may prefer the premium appearance and long-term performance of stone.
During your consultation, we’ll explain the advantages of each option and help you choose the surface that best suits your home, your lifestyle and your budget.
The best benchtop isn’t the one with the highest price tag, it’s the one that works beautifully every day.

Not if it’s designed with longevity in mind.
While trends come and go, thoughtful design never goes out of style. That’s why we focus on creating kitchens that feel balanced, functional and personal rather than chasing short-lived fashions.
By combining timeless design principles with quality materials and careful craftsmanship, we create kitchens that continue to look and perform beautifully for many years.
A well-designed kitchen doesn’t follow trends – it outlasts them.

Joinery Solutions

Not at all. While kitchens are at the heart of what we do, Proform Kitchens & Joinery Solutions designs and manufactures custom joinery for homes throughout Tasmania.
Alongside kitchens, we create laundries, wardrobes, bathroom vanities, home offices, entertainment units and bespoke storage solutions, all designed around the way you live.
Because every project is manufactured in our Montrose workshop, we can tailor every detail to suit your space, style and needs.
Great joinery doesn’t just fill a space – It helps every space work beautifully.

Many of our clients ask us to manufacture the joinery for their entire home, creating a consistent look and feel from room to room.
From kitchens and laundries to wardrobes, vanities, home offices, entertainment units and custom storage, we’ll design and manufacture cabinetry that’s both beautiful and practical.
Working with one experienced joinery company also means consistent materials, finishes and craftsmanship throughout your home, so every space feels connected.
When every room is designed to work together, your whole home simply feels better to live in.

That’s exactly what custom joinery is all about.
Every home is different, so every project we build is designed around the people who live there. Whether you’re making the most of an awkward space, adding clever storage or creating built-in cabinetry that feels like it’s always belonged, we’ll tailor the solution to suit your home.
Because everything is manufactured locally, we’re not limited to standard sizes or off-the-shelf designs.
The best joinery doesn’t ask your home to fit the cabinetry, it asks the cabinetry to fit your home.

The best kitchen isn’t about choosing the most expensive option, it’s about choosing the solution that’s right for your project.
At Proform, we offer three options:
Custom kitchens are individually designed and manufactured to suit your home’s exact dimensions, giving you complete flexibility with layout, storage and finishes.
Pre-assembled kitchens are built in our workshop and delivered ready for installation, making them a popular choice for builders and renovators.
Flat-pack kitchens are precision manufactured in our Montrose Factory in Tasmania and provide a practical, cost-effective option for owner-builders and DIY renovators.
Whichever option you choose, you’ll receive the same commitment to quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Your Proform Joinery

What is the process from start to finish?
Every project is unique, but our process has been refined over more than 20 years to make your renovation as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
It all begins with a showroom appointment or in-home consultation, where we’ll discuss your ideas, lifestyle and budget. From there, we’ll prepare a concept design and detailed quotation for you to review.
Once you’re happy to proceed, we’ll finalise your selections, complete your Sign-Off Documents and provide a tentative installation date. We call it tentative because construction projects don’t always run exactly to schedule. If anything changes along the way, we’ll keep you informed.
If required, we’ll complete a final site measure before your cabinetry is manufactured in our Hobart workshop.
When everything is ready, we’ll coordinate the installation, complete any final trade work where required, and finish with a final inspection before handing over your beautifully finished space.
Throughout the journey, we’re here to answer your questions and make sure you always know what comes next.

Every project is different, so the timeframe depends on the size and complexity of your project, the materials you’ve selected, and the progress of other trades involved.
During the quoting stage, we’ll provide an estimated timeline based on your project. Once everything has been approved, we’ll also give you a tentative installation date, so you know what to expect.
Construction projects don’t always run exactly to schedule and occasionally delays outside our control can affect installation dates. If that happens, we’ll keep you informed every step of the way.
Our focus has never been on finishing first, It’s on finishing well.

For new homes, your builder will usually coordinate the construction schedule. In those cases, we’re equally comfortable working alongside your builder and their team to ensure your cabinetry is installed at the right stage of the project.
Whether we’re coordinating the project or working as part of a larger team, our goal is always the same – To make the process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
